Mispell "trailor" and you are a burnout...

So as of June 29th (yesterday), I have been on the trail for 3 months. What have I learned? If you mispell "Trailer", then you are a burnout.

So the shelters are full of dialogue.... just like the men's bathroom. So I am currently back home... again, and I have been wearing a skirt for almost 2 months.
....actually its a Mountain Kilt (you like them blue socks too)

Georgia is leaving to Tasmania for a year, so I wanted to see her before I left.
So she picked me up Sunday night from Port Clinton, PA. So 1207.5 miles so far, woop woop. So the miles I have to go are 971.5, and that actually make me happy. Why you ask? Because I am back in the triple digits, which actually seem attainable. So I slept a bunch, ate a lot of food, made me a vegan Chai Un-cheesecake. And the ole call customer service lines, which is my version of hell. So Jet-boil is sending me a new ignitor, therma-rest wants $20 to fix my pad (fuck thermarests, aka puncture-rests), and finally I am getting my camera repaired.

So I am listening to Street Sweeper Social Club, sounds pretty good. I uncovered some pictures from Kincora Hardcore Trail Maintence we did back in Tennessee so check out this ganster face:

I painted that blaze :)

1012 Miles and I got the Runs

So, I made it to Harpers Ferry yesterday evening. 1012 miles, the psychological half way mark. I was going to take a day in Harpers, eat food and then attempt the 4 state challenge, but then I got the Hershey squirts. So my father picked me up at 6:30pm and I am taking a few days in Baltimore. My appetite has been non existent, which isn't a good sign, as well as my other issue, but I hope to be back on the trail by thursday/friday. What am I doing now? Resting? Eating food? Chilling in the hot tub? No, I got sucked back into life and have been trying to get my cell phone repaired and still trying to get my fucking car fixed by Subaru.... ho hum. I do have ice cream though.

So, pictures are always more fun:

Waynesboro, V.A.

So loyal fans,

I am in Waynesboro, V.A. I cant believe it was 4 years ago I was here. So me and Blessed hiked in this morning, got a ride first thumb out. It was great. I have showered and now I am onto the Chinese Restaurant. 850 miles and I am at the gateway to the Shenandoahs, I am so excited.

So I heard my lil sis graduated, if you even read this, Congrats.

Anyhow, no link cable still, but I will have pics up soon.

800 miles and well fed

McAfee Knob (total poser shot)
Hey Faithful Followers,

So I have made it over a third of the way, which feels good, but I feel like I have been hiking for ages. I hit the two month mark on May 29th, but that includes the week of zero/nero days I have had. I still don't have my camera cable, after two months, my mom can't seem to find my cable. So I am at the mercy of card readers and the like, which sucks. My screen is still broken on my camera, so the pictures aren't great anyhow.

The most exciting thing is that I got to a Kroger Grocery and got some good bread, a nice organic loaf, all crunch and fresh. What is with Americans and shit white bread (read worse then wonder bread). I got some soy margarine and was in bliss, they had such a great selection of whole food and nice produce.... ho hum.

We also got some great trail magic from some really great ladies, actually we went back for a second helping the next day. It was great, marinated tofu, veggie quesdillas, tons of fruit. Totally worth the push to make it there. I passed the 800 mile mark yesterday, and I am about 40 miles from Waynesboro, then into my favorite section of the trail. If anyone wants to hike with me, you better do it soon. The Old Rag trail in Shenandoahs is supposed to be amazing,
